Old School

While a student at Louisiana State University, I was an Honors College member as well as art director of the Graphic Design Student Office [GDSO].

These roles converged as I documented my work restructuring the GDSO in a senior thesis / office manifesto. Shown here are the style guide, cover artwork and office forms of my design.

An affinity for taking pictures led me to minor in photography—greatly enhancing my resourcefulness and "eye" as a designer.

Shown here are figure studies shot in-studio as well as an award-winning direct mail campaign, produced with the GDSO, that revolved around "illuminating" photos I took on campus.

Also a DJ at the college radio station for four years, my on-air talents and design skills often cross-pollinated.

Souvenirs from this lyrical era include: the redesign of KLSU's logo, a photocollage with proposed tag line for an alluring New Orleans venue and a set of mixed media postage stamps (thus immortalizing my playlist at the time).
